Staying on track

Staying on track towards your goals

Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in every day matters and lock focus on goals you have made for yourself.  Whether it’s working towards a promotiom, starting a new business, or even a fitness goal, it happens to the best of us.  The drive gets lost in the shuffle of everyday life.

Well, here some tips to make things a bit more manageable so you can still tackle your daily routine AND work towards your set goals:

Start with a list, get your goals on paper – that way they become more real.  Write down everything you want to accomplish in increments – these are your “mini goals”.  Daily goals, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.  Once you have that together just jot down a few things that you need to do that will help you accomplish that.  For example if you want to start up a fitness routine, maybe you want to start by a daily 10 min walk.  Weekly you might set up 3 days a week of cardio and so forth.  By breaking your goals down like this it makes it easier to tackle on a daily basis and not as overwhelming as your “end goal” which might for be in this example to lose 20 lbs in the course of 4 months.

By creating a checklist, you can tick off every time you hit a goal, and by tracking your progress you will feel a sense of accomplishment that leads to adhesion to your plan.  You will begin to see after some time that surprisingly you are actually reaching your goal and it didn’t take much more than a few minor adjustments to make it happen!

I believe in you!!
